This is a light shepherd\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s pie, so - surprise! - no lamb. It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s turkey! Not only is it much healthier than other meats, but it is also less costly, so you cut down on both dollars and cholesterol - can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t do better than that. 1 lb ground turkey
2 slices of bread
1 cup of frozen or canned corn
1 cup of frozen or canned sweet peas
Optional diced bell pepper, string beans, or asparagus tips
1 large grated carrot
1/2 diced onion
2-3 cloves of garlic, squeezed
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of soy, rice, or almond milk
To taste: diced fresh cilantro
Dash of cinnamon
Pinch of cumin

Salt and pepper to taste
Paprika to garnish
