Simple Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

A great way to control what goes into your teriyaki sauce. Gluten free and vegan to boot!

1/2c gluten free tamari (or soy sauce if not gf)
1/4c water
3 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp (or less) sesame oil
1 Tbsp cornstarch
Whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl. Pour over stir-fried veggies/meat and cook over medium-high heat 2-3 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add additional water, if necessary.
