Simple Tomato Sauce

A really simple tomato sauce that's great as a base for pasta, pizza, or as a dip.
- 8 tomatoes and diced (deskinned + deseeded is ideal but I didn't do this)
- 1 large red onion, roughly chopped
- 4-6 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 dried bay leaves
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp dried basil (or 1 sprig, fresh)
