The ‘melt in the mouth’ sweet dish – Banana halwa

On the day of ‘Dusshera’ (celebrated yesterday) I decided to offer a simple Prasad for the Goddess. So I made a simple dish with the humble banana, which is very easy to prepare and tastes delicious – literally ‘melts in the mouth’. Bananas are usually the most commonly offered fruit to the ‘Gods and Goddesses’ during puja and on auspicious occasions as it is considered a ‘sacred fruit’. Because the seeds of the banana cannot reproduce on its own unlike the other fruits. ‘Banana halwa’ can be

3 bananas (mashed)
2 tablespoon wheat flour
1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 ½ - 2 cups milk
¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
