Baked Apple Slices

Warm apple dish, soft and delightful.

1 Granny Smith apple
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon sugar
¼ cup chopped walnut
1 tablespoon Goji berries (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove core of apple and cut into thin slices. Lay out apple slices in a baking dish. Sprinkle lemon juice, than sugar, then walnut over the apple. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. (Optional) Before serving, top with Goji berries.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
