Cabbage with Saffron

Chopped cabbage (½ head)
1 cup water
2 tablespoons onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic crushed and minced
Pinch of saffron powder or threads softened in water and made into a paste.
1/8 teaspoon turmeric
Dash of mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
In a large frying pan, heat water and spices. Add cabbage and cover pan with a lid. Cook cabbage until tender adding water if necessary to keep from burning and coating with the spice mixture.
