For Base:

1 ¼ cup corn masa or corn flour (not corn meal)

1 ¼ cup warm water, divided, or as needed

1 Tablespoon oil and more for frying


For Topping:
1 Tablespoon oil

Onion, diced, to taste

Corn kernels, to taste

1 can kidney beans, pinto beans, or red beans, rinsed and drained

Chili powder, to taste

Paprika, to taste

Cheese, optional

Sour cream, optional
