Family Pizza Sauce

Pizza is one of our family favorites and I usually make it every Friday night. Since we make our own dough and try to produce a healthier version of everything we make in our home, we decided to develop a homemade sauce recipe and thanks to my daughter, Bethany, we have come up with a fabulous recipe.

2 Tbs Olive Oil
1 onion, chopped
1 green and/or red pepper, diced or pureed
4 cloves crushed garlic
1TBS oregano
Dash cayenne
1 tsp Italian seasoning
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes

1. Saute the onion, sweet pepper in the olive oil.
2. Add the crushed garlic.
3. Add oregano, cayenne (opt.), Italian seasoning and tomatoes.
4. Stir well.
