South Indian Style Peanut Garlic Chutney is a thick, classic, creamy, sweet, and spicy-nutty chutney. This is best accompanied with idli, dosa & uttapam and all type of parathas, or any other Indian Snacks.

• Peanut/Groundnut – 1/2 cup
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Urad dal – 1 tbsp
• Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Chana dal – 1 tbsp
• Garlic cloves – 7-8
• Ginger, peeled – 1-inch piece
• Dried red chili – 5-6
• Jaggery – 1-inch piece
• Tamarind – 1-inch piece
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 Tsp
• salt to taste
• Water – ½ cup or as required
For tempering:
• Oil – 2 tsp
• Pinch of asafetida
• mustard seeds – 1 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
• Urad dal – 1 tsp
• Dried red chili – 2
• Garlic cloves, sliced – 2
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Urad dal – 1 tbsp
• Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Chana dal – 1 tbsp
• Garlic cloves – 7-8
• Ginger, peeled – 1-inch piece
• Dried red chili – 5-6
• Jaggery – 1-inch piece
• Tamarind – 1-inch piece
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 Tsp
• salt to taste
