Mild Pork Chili Verde

In the interest of full disclosure the picture of this particular recipe are not of Mild Pork Chili Verde but rather MILD BEAR CHILI VERDE. But the recipe uses pork. So go try it already! Delicious!!

1.5 pounds pork roast
4 cups chicken broth
8 roma tomatoes, diced
1 large onion, chopped
2 Anaheim peppers, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
2 T cornstarch or flour
1/4 c water
1 T shredded cheese, optional
a sprinkle of cilantro, optional
Dice tomatoes and chop onion, and all peppers. Mince garlic. Add all ingredients except the cornstarch to a pressure cooker or slow cooker. Cover and turn on your pressure cooker to high and let it come...

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
