Spicy Tomato Soup

A perfect soup to have in the chilly winter or just when you do not feel like having anything. Its spicy tangy and hot!! Best enjoyed with bread crumbs.

Tomatoes- 1 kg
Butter - 2 tbsp
Cardamoms- 5 nos
Cloves- 5 no's
Cinnamon- 1" piece
Bay leaf -1 no
Onions (small) - 2 no's
Beetroot- 1 (small)
Carrot-1 no
Garlic Flakes-4 no's
Ginger- 1/2 "
Celery - 1 stick
Leeks- 1 stick
Coriander leaves - 1/2 a bunch
Mint leaves- 1/2 bunch
Salt and pepper to taste
Bread croutons- 1 cup
Cut tomatoes into big pieces and vegetables into slices. Slice onions and chop ginger and garlic. Stir for 1/2 a minute. Add vegetables and fry till transparent. Mix in greens and fry lightly. Add tomatoes and fry till skin starts to peel. Add salt and 1 cup water and pressure cook for 3 whistles. Strain and remove the garam masala. Cool and grind the vegetables to a pulp and the strained soup and add sufficient water and strain. Just before serving cook on low flame till steams appear. Add pepper and serve with croutons.
