My Supremely Spicy Hummus recipe allows control the amount of heat depending on your preference. Unlike most hummus recipes, it doesn't require ANY OIL!

FOR COOKING CHICKPEAS
16 ounces dried chickpeas
6 cups water
2 Tbsp. sea salt
2 Tbsp. baking soda
2 Chipotles in Adobo sauce
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS FOR HUMMUS
1/3 Cup Tahini (Sesame Paste)
4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
Lemon Juice from 2 Lemons
1 Tbsp. Red Pepper Flakes
1 Tbsp. Cumin
1 Tsp. Sea Salt
1 Tsp. Freshly Ground Pepper

Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or add a slow cooker liner. Add dry chickpeas, water, sea salt, baking soda and chipotles. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or until the chickpeas are tender.
