Rich, fudgy brownies with a swirl of almond butter. These vegan almond butter swirl brownies are made with just 7 healthy ingredients and you’d never know they’re gluten free and naturally sweetened! My favorite brownies EVER.

1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 c almond milk
1 c date paste - I use about 16 medjool dates blended with 1 c hot water, then measure out 1 c paste
1/2 c buckwheat flour
1/2 c cocoa powder
1/2 c vegan chocolate chips
2-3 tbsp unsweetened, natural nut butter

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
