Green beans is a Summertime vegetable, which means it is in season here in South-Africa. This is a Supper healthy and very cheap side dish. It is a crazy low calorie recipe full of protein and vitamins. That is why i call it Skinny Green Beans. Great for the fitness and health lovers. So why olive oil and not butter? Olive oil reduce the risk of heart disease and won't clog the veins... it leaves nothing but it scent. Simply delicious with any meat. Go Healthy with... Skinny Green Beans.

1 pound Green Beans (rinsed and ends trimmed)
1/2 pound/1&half cup Mushrooms(washed and sliced)
1 large Onion (Chopped)
2 Garlic cloves crushed
2 tablespoon Extra-Virgen Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
Salt and Freshly ground Black Pepper
1/2 pound/1&half cup Mushrooms(washed and sliced)

1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
Salt and Freshly ground Black Pepper
Blanch green beans in well salted boiling water for 2 minutes.
Drain and keep aside.
Heat large frying pan on medium heat.
Add oil and chopped onion. Saute onions till light brown.
Add garlic, mushrooms and saute till mushrooms has browned.
Now the green beans can be added and saute for 3 minutes.
Add lemon juice, salt and pepper
