Every Southern cook has their secret weapon in terms of creating the best Southern-Style Fried Chicken. There are so many recipes for fried chicken. Different cooks have different variations, with many being passed down through generations. The secret for the juicylicious and crunchylicious chicken lies in the frying! Do not overcrowd the pan while frying so that the temperature of oil won't go down.

This recipe is the elevated version of classic crunchy southern-style fried chicken where dried herbs were added to create the perfect seasoning. But you can also add finely chopped fresh herbs such as tarragon, sage and rosemary. Serve it with these herby potatoes and this fresh orange salad to make a complete meal.
